I would be a liar if I said I wasn’t looking forward to the weekend.
How much more cliche can I possibly get?
This week has been a rough one. With the SO out of town for a solid 24 hours, my pain at an all-time-high and the recent passing of my mother looming — this was a shit week. Pardon the French.
So here we are on Friday, the sun setting softly in the background and the wine calling loudly. A whole prospective 2 days of sunshine lie ahead and the beer gardens are opening up all around the city. Yes. I am looking forward to the weekend.
But what am I really looking forward to? Beside sunshine and time with the SO?
AFI.
Some of you will know of them, some of you won’t. They’ve been my favorite band since I was 11 years old. And they are finally making an appearance near enough for me to see them. Talk about something that was seriously needed at a seriously dark time. A night of punk / alternative. Ah. Where you at, Sunday?
So what about you, internet-land? Any big plans for the weekend?
I hope whatever they are, they turn out fantastically!
